It is a really horrible feeling to have a final presentation in 2 days and not have ANYTHING 100% done. Not done creating my 3D model, let alone assigning textures/light/etc. Not even done editing all of my CAD drawings. This whole attempt at a work/life balance hasn’t panned out too well. Long 2 days ahead. Fuuuuuuuuuuu

The feeling you get after leaving a (usually emotional) conversation and you think of all the things you should have said. Translated literally to mean the spirit of the staircase.
Surely one of the best ways to generate motivation in ourselves and others is by dangling rewards?
Yet psychologists have long known that rewards are overrated. The carrot, of carrot-and-stick fame, is not as effective as we’ve been led to believe. Rewards work under some circumstances but sometimes they backfire. Spectacularly.

Sometimes I complain about my workload, but in all honesty, I am so happy this semester. So many things make me smile, every day.
